Description : Mt.Seoraksan is the highest(its Daecheongbong Peak is 1,708m
high) of the Taebaek Mountain Range, the backbone of the
Korean Peninsulla. It is most valued mountain in South Korea,
              for its excellent scenery.
Many flowers decorate it in the spring, while the crystal-
clear water of its valley attracts tourists in summer. In
fall, brilliant autumn leaves create a crescendo of colors.
And in winter, the entire mountain area turns into a silver
wonderland. The park is divided into Inner Seorak and Outer
Seorak by a ridge which connects Han-gyeryeong, Daecheongbong
Peak and Misiryeong. Boasting rugged yet breathtaking
scenery, Inner Seorak lies west of the ridge. It contains
many valleys including Baekdam Valley, Suryeomdong Valley,
Baegundong Valley and Gayadong Valley. Meanwhile, Outer
Seorak, which stretches east of the ridge, features many
rugged rock formations and cliffs as well as huge
waterfalls, including Cheonbuldong Valley, Ulsan Rock,
Gwongeumseong Fortress. Geumgang Cave, Biryong Waterfall and
Towangseong Waterfall. Cooking and camping here have been
forbidden since Nov. 15th, 1990. The National Park
Management Corporation forbids visitors from entering certain
areas in order to preserve the park.
